Careers 2008 Competition

Smoky Hill Education Service Center hosted its annual applied Academic and Career Competition on April 23, 2008. Approximately 240 Kansas high school students from around the area competed individually or as a team in Product Development , Problem Solving and/or Job Search.
The competition, a partnership between SHESC, its 60 plus member school districts, the Salina Area Technical School, the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, the Salina Human Resource Association, and Access TV is held at the Salina Bicentennial Center and the Salina Area Technical School.
AWARDS
1st, 2nd, & 3rd place certificates for each category were presented to schools for their winning students. In addition, Salina Area Technical School gives a scholarship to winning seniors to further their education at the school.

Blue Valley Randolph: 2 first, 6 second, 4 third
Clifton-Clyde: 4 first, 7 second, 2 third
Concordia: 3 first, 2 second, 3 third
Ell-Saline: 2 first, 1 second, 1 third
Herington: 9 first, 13 second, 14 third
Hope: 1 first, 5 second, 4 third
Lakeside: 1 second, 1 third
Lincoln: 3 first, 3 second, 2 third
Salina Central: 4 first, 1 third
Southeast of Saline: 6 first, 3 second, 2 third
Tescott: 4 first, 4 second, 3 third
